WEIGHT If you run out of juice are you going to be able to carry or kick push it home? PERFORMANCE The difference in eboards is akin to the difference between cars. You have boards that get you from A to Z and then there are the ones that are a pure pleasure to ride. Look into the wheels and trucks and ask the question – how would this board perform without...
We sit down with our lead designer to talk about what the design process looks like for an Evolve board. From initial sketches and prototyping parts, to sending a final board into production, there is many challenges and successes in creating a ground-up design. “Electric forms of transport are an interesting area of development. Aimed at high-end users, the Evolve Carbon Hadean is a premium version of an existing model that showcases a smart use of materials and design construct to reduce weight and bulk. The well-executed upgrade cleverly uses smart technology in the processing (including composite forged carbon fibre) and the electronics (including lithium-Ion battery cells electric motors) to ooze speed and performance. A standout project that ticks all the boxes for good design in this category. Well done.” ~ Good Designs Awards Jury
